MYC! was founded in 2000 by Jason Ko, an Investment Banker, on a piece of paper.
When he came back from Canada, Jason met many smart young Malaysians who started
short in their career simply because they could not afford a degree. His
original idea was simple, create a website to list all the available study loans
/ scholarships & student jobs as an info portal to help young Malaysian students
get their degree. It was a social cause Hobby project. Over 2,000 scholarships
and courses were listed and it didn’t stop there. |

Once started, his hobby project took on a life of its own with Jason even
leaving his well paid desk job in portfolio management to run this passion
project without salary for the 1st year.
10 years & a lot of hard knocks learning experience later, MYC! today is one of
the largest student employers in Malaysia & is responsible for channelling more
than RM 1.5 million in cash to Malaysian students via jobs, event prizes, cash
scholarships etc. (at time of print)
Today MYC! employs a creative energetic motley crew of ex-AdAgency Staff + Top
of Class graduates, all sharing the same passionate motto,
“ We do Everything for Students .. except Study!” |
