Boy Severs 8 Nerves from Looking At His Reflection! WHAT?!

Boy Severs 8 Nerves from Looking At His Reflection! WHAT?!

by S. Gul

Quality over price guys. Say it with me.

Also, maybe invest in a step stool if you have short humans living in your house (both adults and kids).

Wang, a 10-year-old boy in Taiwan suffered the consequences of a sub-standard floating toilet sink, when he leaned on it to glance at himself in the mirror.

(Maybe trying to see if he had grown a moustache or hair on his chin?)

While pressing hard on the sink to boost himself up to the mirror, the weaka** ceramic sink suddenly broke off the wall and onto the unfortunate boy.

The sharp edges left Wang in a pool of his own blood and that’s when he was found by his parents and sent to the hospital on the double!

At the hospital, a team of surgeons came together to patch up the sliced up boy and save his life in a four-hour operation.

That was when he was deduced to have severed eight vascular nerves.

Due to the destroyed nerves, Wang was discharged after a week and had to undergo physiotherapy to ensure proper use of his hands and legs eventhough he was said to face challenges with using his hands in the future.

Some helpful tips from Wang’s doctor himself:

1. Wounds inflicted from ceramic or glass breaking is NO JOKE.

--------------------------------------------------

2. Get yourself to a hospital for a thorough check for any lingering broken pieces that might still be lodged in you *shivers*

--------------------------------------------------

 3. Do not install floating sinks which have no support below because kids tend to press on the sink for a boost!

--------------------------------------------------

4. Do not ignore those cracks you find between the sink and the wall.

Get the sink reinforced immediately or changed completely.

It is smart to do maintenance checks on all house appliances and mountings.

It will save us from a lot of hurt and costs in the future.

Always stay safe!
