SEX has always been a taboo topic for most Malaysians.

Many of us are afraid to openly discuss it, let alone mention it.

So join MYC! as we surveyed youths on their opinions on SEX.

1. What’s the youngest age that you know of Malaysian having sex?

A 13-year-old girl with her 21 years old boyfriend. They knew each other from online.

Van, 23

--------------------------------------------------

A 16-year-old guy who had sex with all of his girlfriends and leaving them right after the act!

Fiq, 22

--------------------------------------------------

11-year-old girl and her uncle having sex in the house.

Mitch, 26

--------------------------------------------------

Based on what I’ve heard, 11 years old. They were both kids and they did it in school.

 Bryan, 25

--------------------------------------------------

The earliest age I’ve heard was a 17-year-old girl. She was celebrating the freedom after SPM in a club, got drunk, and ended up having sex with a stranger.

Fath, 23

--------------------------------------------------

A 12-year-old girl. She was having sex with her own cousin and her cousin was a 21-year-old guy! They did it in their grandma’s house!

Mike, 26

--------------------------------------------------

17 years old. This girl had sex with her brother’s friend when he came over for a sleepover.

Elli, 25

--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------

2. Where was the most interesting location that you have heard of Malaysians having sex?

Classroom, in a private college near Sunway Pyramid. They were caught by the lecturer because it was 6pm. The first thought that crossed my mind was….WAH SO EARLY HORNY!

Jason, 27

--------------------------------------------------

In a restaurant kitchen during operational hours. The head chef had sex with a customer.

 Mitch, 26

--------------------------------------------------

Shop lot, back alley. I guess they were quite desperate.

 Bryan, 25

--------------------------------------------------

Toilet in a popular mall in KL.

 Alty, 24

--------------------------------------------------

School’s library. It was pretty quiet that time… I guess they just went for it.

 Elli, 25

--------------------------------------------------

In the parking lot, OUTSIDE the car.

Iman, 25

--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------

3. Who was the most unlikely suspect (sex partner) you have heard of?

An event speaker. He was giving a talk on photography and went to do the deed with one of the girls, in his car. Old guy with white hair some more.

 Jason, 27

--------------------------------------------------

My friend had sex with a prostitute. But he had a girlfriend, so…

 Fiq, 22

--------------------------------------------------

Headmaster and janitor!

 Mitch, 26

--------------------------------------------------

A woman with her babysitter’s husband.

Mike, 26

--------------------------------------------------

My friend’s brother and sister. She caught them having sex in the bathroom!

 Bina, 22

 Iqmal, 24

4. In 2020, will sex before marriage ever be OK?

In my personal opinion, if the girl is someone that I care about I will tell them WAIT UNTIL YOU GET MARRIED. Anything before marriage is definitely for a short-term thrill. However, if I don’t know these people, then as long as both parties are aware of safe sex, they can do whatever. I think the idea of making love versus having sex is two different things. Sex is supposed to be natural to create a family but humans always tend to perverse everything and turn it into a HOBBY!

 Jason, 27

--------------------------------------------------

Sex before marriage is totally fine. As long as both sides gave consent. I don’t think there are anything to lose or gain for both parties.

Bryan, 25

--------------------------------------------------

To say it’s not okay would be hypocrite of me. I think it’s okay as long as both parties are in agreement and take full responsibility of their actions. In terms of whether anyone gain or lose anything is purely subjected to the persons’ values. I won’t reject any girls on the basis of their virginity, that would be total bullshit! If the situation is reversed, then how would a guy feel if he was rejected for losing his virginity?

 Mike, 26

--------------------------------------------------

In 2020, sex education should be taught in school. Let’s put aside religion constraints. Sex before marriage is totally fine since there are married people separated because of bad sex satisfaction lol. So I guess it’s better to know how “good” your partner is before marrying him/her.

 Rudy, 26

--------------------------------------------------

Sex before marriage is a huge NO. Nowadays, people are doing it just for fun. Sex before marriage makes me worry about things like “does he really loves me, or he just want my body?”. You should really value yourself more.

 Bina, 22

--------------------------------------------------

NOPE. Sex before marriage is not okay for me because getting into marriage means responsibility towards each other. When a man accidently makes a woman pregnant, for sure the woman will have to bear it all. If you have to, safe sex is very important.

 Iqmal, 24

--------------------------------------------------

Sex is science, we all have sexual needs, hormones raging. How you view your virginity is entirely up to you but it should not define you as a person. It’s not about losing or gaining. I think if anyone wants to do it, they should out of love and trust between each other and not out of pressure from society or their partners.

Iman, 25

--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------

Sex is a part of nature.

Having sex shouldn’t make anyone less “pure”.

As long as both sides have consent and are educated on the risks of sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy, we shouldn’t judge others for what they do behind closed doors.

Some sexual acts may be carried out for love, but some may be just plainly for physical euphoria.

Sex is a part and parcel of being human.

Sex is a discovery of self and your partners.

Through the intimate interaction with another human being, we grow and evolve physically, mentally, and spiritually.

P/s: MYC! is strictly against paedophilia. The legal age to give consent to sex is 16 years old. Having sex with anyone younger than 16 years old is automatically considered as statutory RAPE. Please report to officials if you have encountered any incidents of paedophilia.
