On 21 November a woman was attached by a snatch thief at a pharmacy at Jalan Gombak. The woman lost a total of RM10,000 worth items as they had snatched both her gold necklaces. Aside from having her items stolen, the woman was also punched by the suspect.
A statement by Wanga Maju’s district police chief Supt Rajab Ahad Ismail said that the man had came up behind the victim as she was making a payment. The thief had pulled the victims necklace before putting up a struggle and being punched.

The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle in an unknown direction. CCTV footage shows that there were two male suspects who were wearing face masks involved. “Investigations revealed that the suspect was using false registration plates to confuse authorities,” said Rajab Ismail.
