A man had found out that he had RM120,000 in cash stolen from his vehicle as he changed his flat tyre along the Federal Highway. Bernama had reported that this indecent happened on 20 November.

The report stated that the victim had withdrawn money from a bank at Old Klang Road and had noticed that he was tailed by a silver car while on the highway. The police report of the incident had been filed at the Pantai police station.

Brickfields District Police chief Anuar Omar said “The victim found that his rear left tyre had been punctured by  a piece of metal and stopped to change the tyre. He only realised that the cash and documents were missing when he got back into his vehicle.”

According to Berita Harian, the police had successfully located the suspects car as operations were conducted around Bangsar despite the suspects efforts to escape after acting aggressively. The suspects had been identified as Colombians, a 55-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman.

The suspects have been involved in similar cases around Brickfields and are being investigated under Section 370 of the Penal Code after seizing a mobile phone, documents and a Honda City with a false registration plate.
