Stalker Fined RM1,200 for 8-Years of Harassment to Ms. Universe Malaysia

Stalker Fined RM1,200 for 8-Years of Harassment to Ms. Universe Malaysia

Sabrina Beneett’s cry for help was finally heard after her 33-year-old male stalker was fined RM 1,200 by the Jalan Duta Magistrate Court for insulting the modesty of the former Miss Universe Malaysia.

To refresh your memory, two weeks ago the former pageant beauty opened up in an interview with Fly FM about an acquaintance that has been harassing her since 2013. What began as an innocent crush turned into a crazy obsession from hundreds of love confessions to him stalking her whereabouts and threatening to splash acid on her face (She needs a restraining order ASAP).

Sabrina filed two police reports prior but no action was taken until recently. Brickfield district police officer chief ACP Anuar Omar told Malay Mail that the offender pleaded guilty and paid the RM1,200 fine on the spot.

He added that the offender was charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a person which carries a maximum five year’s jail, or a fine, or both. The offender paid the fine on Wednesday morning (20 January 2021).

Despite the good news, Sabrina was not happy with how things turned out. She took to Instagram and shared her frustration and upset. "Over the weekend my stalker/harasser was remanded for investigation and has been charged in court. After pleading guilty, he was asked to pay a fine of RM1,200 and allowed to walk. It is not the outcome I had hoped for."

However, she thanked senior law enforcement officers, lawyer, friends, and fans who shared and spread awareness about her story. Sabrina says she will continue to fight for the justice that she deserves.
